Yesterday we celebrated the eighth birthday of our daughter. I know some mothers, who always wistfully think back to the time when the children were very small on the birthdays of their children. I, on the other hand, do not grieve for the toddler time and watch intently how my daughter becomes her own little personality. Recently, I told her in the morning to pick out something to wear. Then she came to the bathroom with a stack of clothes from me and when I asked what that was now, she said: “You said I should pick out something for you to wear!”. There was indeed a pajama top of me, but at least, it has its own style :).
Table decoration for children’s birthday parties I find always difficult, because it is only a fine line that my children and I like it. This year it was a happy coincidence that Radbag asked me if I fancy a decoration with the new free printables. Unicorns for my daughter and pastel colors for me – that fits :).
Over the table I hung lanterns and ribbons of crepe paper on a wire frame …
I made lace bags for sweets out of wrapping paper. There should actually still pure chocolate, but I have auffuttert during the shoot (otherwise I would have made on the cupcakes;)).
As an “ice cube” I have taken water ice and placed in the glasses …
Of course these pompom skewers are ready to buy, but if you have nothing better to do besides holiday and housework like me, you just do it yourself: P. It took me only 20 minutes to rummage tinsel out of the Christmas box and then stick it around the skewers with Washi Tape! But as I said, you have nothing else to do …
My contribution is part of a blog parade by radbag, which also has something to win :). You can find the conditions of participation here . There you can also print the templates for the skewers and the banderoles for cupcakes for free.
If you also have a little princess at home, you’ll also find the right gifts at radbag – from unicorn slippers to the cloudy night light , although of course, as an old Star Wars fan, I’d prefer the Death Star lamp :).
I wish you a great summer day!
