Juhu my mail from my kitchen Christmas shipment package has arrived at my place! The Losfee pulled Yvonne from Hamburg out of my hat, and so I was really lucky! Are you curious what was in my package?
PAMK Christmas sentiment
I’ve always had the feeling that it’s almost Christmas when finally the PostausmeinerKüche package arrives and I can unpack … and of course, with the great motto Weihnachtsschickerei much more! The moment you open the package and be surprised with the delicacies is just great. And in Yvonne’s package, I discovered four beautifully wrapped things!
Who PostausmeinerKüche has never heard of can here read what it’s about! Short version: Log in, get exchange partners assigned, bake-cook-cook-cooking-hot-run-leave, send package, get package, Juhu!
DIY Camembert Caramel Walnut Kit
The first thing I discovered was a Camembert caramel walnut kit with cute instruction booklet.
A walnut ciabatta bread was also there. Tomorrow, together with the Camembert, will go into the oven tomorrow!
20 g of yeast – dissolved in 300 ml of warm water
2 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoons salt
50 g walnuts (roughly chopped)
Knead everything to a dough, rest for 2 hours in a warm place and let it go.
Knead again, forming loaves, put on a baking tray (damp cloth over it) and let go again for 30 minutes. Then bake light brown at 200 degrees hot air 25 and spray with water every few minutes. Finished.
Apple Pie Liqueur
I admit that I’ve just had a sip during working hours! Delicious!
Yvonne’s recipe :
1l apple juice with
Cook well in a saucepan on the stove, then when the liquid is at room temperature
250-500ml (I took 300ml) stir in the grain.
Then 4 cinnamon days, 6 allspice granules, 4 cloves, some cardamom (I did not have it, instead I just took gingerbread spice, about 1 teaspoon), put 1 teaspoon cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg in the pot.
Leave the whole 2-3 nights in the refrigerator and then fill in bottles.
Attention, if you have (as in my case) used powdery spices that you can not just fish out, you have to run the liquid through a piece of kitchen roll, so you get back a clear liquid. And then. “Well, get it!”
Then I discovered a big box in the package. It said: Shaken gingerbread! I did not know that, so tried it directly. And zack, he has hiked on my great Christmas treats list.
350 g of flour
300 g of sugar
250 g of ground hazelnuts (and if you want almonds, half / half)
3 teaspoons gingerbread spice
1 teaspoon clove powder
1 packet of baking soda
1 packet of vanilla sugar
(if you still like 1 teaspoon cinnamon)
250 ml of milk
150 g of liquid butter
2 tablespoons honey
Everything in a large bowl, lid on it and shake well until the dough is mixed (I’ve taken the food processor)
Bake at 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
Melt 200-400g of chocolate (I prefer whole milk) and spread on the cold cake.
A big thank you from Münster to Hamburg to my dear exchange partner Yvonne! I was soooo happy! And of course to the three PostausmeinerKüche inventors for the great idea and the whole work!
So if that could not convince PostausmeinerKüche , I can no longer help! I definitely know 100% that I’m back in the next round! Of course I will tell you what I sent Yvonne. Saturday is part 1, with recipe of course.
Dear Christmas Anticipation Greetings,
