If somewhat late, I wish you all a happy new year with a lot of energy and creativity! Traditionally, every year after Christmas, I feel the urge to IMMEDIATELY remove the Christmas decorations and turn the whole house upside down. Only on these few days in the year I can easily separate from old stuff and do so doing a kind of inner cleaning. Then I vow to “never let it go that far again” and paint a life of me with neat closets in which you do not have to dig to find something! As a supreme discipline of creative smuggling applies to me my studio, since I like to close the door after work and usually open them again, if I want to leave any stuff from the house, for which there is nowhere to find a place. But that’s over now (* fingers crossed *)!
Even though it may not look like that at first glance, my shelves are based on an inherent order! At first, I wanted to put everything in cupboards, but for me, creativity just flows better when I keep an eye on my materials.
I’ve got a few things ready for me from which I wanted to make something nice longer, such as the leather belt from the flea market …
Now I’m just waiting for our cozy holiday life of the last few weeks to go back into everyday life and then I can finally start again to tinker, work and, hopefully, to sew more!
Are you the same with tidying up?
All the best! Catherine
