So long have I postponed my son’s room! At some point you do not even know where to start with all the junk that has accumulated over time and that, according to my son, CAN NOT BE DISCARDED! But what do you do with a whole room full of cardboard boxes, paper rolls and other paper waste, from which my son still has something to tinker? Right, you wait until the children are skiing for a few days with grandma and grandpa and then beats sneaky 😛. And because I’m not just a raven mother, I painted the walls in his favorite color, distributed many dinosaurs in the room AND sharpened all the pens! Well, if that’s nothing …
If you want to see what it looked like before, you will find pictures here . For the remodeling of the room I bought only the carpet (H & M home) and the lamp (Ikea) new. The rest was just changed, so that a fresh wind blows in the room. By the way, the bed is my old cot and because I have a twin sister, my daughter has the same bed in her room (which my husband converted into a loft bed without damaging it – you can find pictures of it here ).
I like the effect with the half-high painted wall paint very well, because it still makes the room look really bright. In addition, everything happens in children at the bottom of the room and the wall color sets as a nice accent I think.
Except for the magnetic board and the trolley on the picture is everything from the flea market. I like vintage furniture much better than new, that makes the room much more comfortable. That everything is a bit improvised does not bother me at all …
On the trolley, the crafting things are always at hand (note that I’ve actually sharpened all the pins 😉).
I’m just surprised, how tidy the room is suddenly, on the shelf is even a compartment free! Now everything has its place, in the tons animals and Lego are stowed. So my son ratzfatz his room clean up himself (one will probably hope).
I’m so curious what my son will say when he comes home tonight! Of course, I know exactly that he will miss his collection of cardboard boxes, so I stowed a part with me in the studio. And luckily we have to go shopping for Easter again tomorrow, then he will get supplies!
I wish you a great Easter weekend!
