DIY in person: The Tick-Tack grandma

Today I want to open a new section: DIY in person. Here I introduce people who are creative, tinker, work, do it yourself. First of all, I’d like to introduce you to our Tick-Tack grandma, the U (h) roma of my two children. She is 93 years old and still knits like a world champion!

Despite arthritic fingers and poor eyesight, she produces cardigans, sweaters and caps all the time. In the past she also made a lot of things, baked with the grandchildren and for the grandchildren, etc., eg salt dough or macramé. But now she is no longer physically fit and sits a lot in her TV chair, the TV is running, but actually she does not look, she knits. And that’s really great, because it makes sense, has to concentrate and keeps her head fit.

Last week she completed this sweetheart here. Dug out of a cabinet drawer, she had crocheted it for my husband in the 80s, there were only two wheels left to complete. And Zack-Zack was done with the Bulli and my little boy was blown away – just like his father! A really great story, I think.
