Almond nut cake
That’s what you need for the almond nut cake
- 125 g of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 150 g butter
- 50 g almond flour (or wheat flour)
- 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 100 g almonds (ground)
- 50 g of hazelnuts ground
- 1 pinch of salt
- 7 tablespoons of orange juice
- Some icing sugar
- Almond chips for decorating
So you bake the almond nut cake
Grease your springform pan and warm the oven to about 180 degrees Celsius.
Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff. Then stir 50 g of sugar into the egg whites and beat a little further until everything is distributed.
In another bowl, beat the soft butter together with the rest of the sugar until creamy. Then add yolk, almond flour, almonds, hazelnuts and baking powder with stirring. If the dough gets too dry, add the orange juice salty to it. Finally, only the egg whites are carefully lifted under the dough.
Now the cake can be in the oven for about half an hour. Then let it cool down, sprinkle it with powdered sugar and almonds.
