Hello dear ones, hopefully you have arrived well in the new year. Now I’m curious: Well, do you have leftovers from the Christmas bakery in stock? Then she grabs you and makes jerky almond cake with marzipan! Here comes the recipe for you!
Almond croissant with marzipan – delicious with coffee
The almond croissants taste perfect for the afternoon coffee. Fortunately, I had bought about thirty pounds of marzipan for the Christmas bakery (for example, these great tartlets!) And therefore had a package over. I quickly made these delicious croissants out of it. They taste good all year round, and so the cupboards are empty again. By the way, the beautiful cup was given to me by Maike! I always like to drink it now, because there is still enough space for a small tasty snack on the saucer.
Almond croissants with marzipan – that’s what you need
For about 9 croissants
For the dough
- 200 grams of marzipan paste
- 100 grams of ground almonds
- 100 grams of powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 egg white
- 1 egg white
- 80 grams of almond slicer
- 100 grams of dark chocolate
Here’s how it’s done – almond croissants with marzipan
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees and place a baking tray with baking paper. Then knead all the ingredients for the dough into a dough. From this roll her 9 croissants and place them on the baking tray.
Smash the second egg whites in a cup and brush the croissants with them. Then sprinkle them with the almond slices and lightly squeeze them. Then roast the almonds for about 20 minutes in the oven. After that they should be slightly brown.
Wait until cool and then melt the chocolate over a water bath. Dip the ends of the croissants and let them cool again. Finished!
Enjoy the meal,
